HOW TO USE ESSENTIAL OILS

1. Essential oil dropped in a
radiator fragrancer or light bulb ring will fill the room
with a wonderful fragrance and ambience. Get that
aromatherapeutic effect.
Choose oils depending on the mood required.
2. Revive Pot Pourri by adding a few drops of your
favourite essential oil.
3. Add a few drops of essential oil to water in a spray
bottle, shake well, and use as an air freshener - do not
spray on or near polished surfaces.
4. To enhance a candle, place a drop of essential oil on
the candle BEFORE you light it.
5. Ease headache pain by rubbing one drop of neat Lavender
Essential oil onto your temples.
6. Freshen shoes by dropping a few drops of Geranium
Essential oil directly into your shoes or place a cotton
ball dabbed with a few drops of Lemon Essential oil and
leave in the shoes overnight.
7. To fragrance your kitchen cupboards and drawers, place a
cotton ball with a few drops of essential oil in an
inconspicuous corner.
8. To deter ants - use drops of Peppermint essential oil
along the bottom of the door frame where you see them.
9. Place a few drops of your favourite essential oil onto a
small piece of cloth and toss into the clothes dryer while
drying.
10. Apply Lavender essential oil and Tea tree essential oil
directly to cuts, scrapes, or scratches.
1 or 2 drops will promote healing. (These are the only
essential oils which should be ever used neat on the skin).
KEEP AWAY FROM EYES.
11. Rosemary essential is believed to promote alertness and
stimulate memory. Use the fragrance during long car trips
and while reading, studying and during exams.
12. Frankincense essential oil and Myrrh essential oil make
wonderful firewood oils.
Drop approximately 2-3 drops of essential oil or blend of
your choice on a dried log and allow time for the oil to
soak well in before putting the log on the fire.
13. Place 1 or 2 drops of sleep enhancing oils such as Roman
Chamomile essential , Lavender essential oil or Neroli
essential oil on your pillow before retiring to promote
restful sleep.
14. When washing out the fridge, freezer, or oven, add 1
drop of any citrus essential oil to the final rinse water.
15. 5 drops of Eucalyptus essential oil in the bath cools
the body in summer and protects it in winter, dilute first
in a tablespoon of milk, vegetable oil or mild foam bath.
16. Add 1 drop Geranium essential oil or Myrrh essential oil
to your facial moisturiser to bring out a radiant glow in
your skin.
17. Place 1 or 2 drops of Rosemary essential oil on your
hair brush before brushing to promote health hair.
18. When viral illnesses are going around add a few drops of
Thyme essential oil and Lemon essential oil to your diffuser
or simmer in a pan on the hob.
19. A blend of lavender essential oil and grapefruit
essential oil is good for the workplace.
Lavender essential oil is calming and grapefruit essential
oil stimulates the senses and clears up stale air.
Lemon essential oil can also be used for its refreshing
qualities.
